Slime Volley guide: from 1v1 to 4v4

Slime Volley is browser volleyball with slimes. Practice against bots, or make a room and play online from 1v1 to 4v4. The court wants a landscape screen.

Controls

Move with the left and right arrows or A and D. Jump with the up arrow, W, or Space. A slime stays on its own side of the court and bumps the ball with its body.

A portrait phone is asked to rotate to landscape.

Practice

Set your team and the bot team from 1 to 4 slimes each. Difficulty is Easy, Normal, or Hard. It starts without an account or a room.

Online rooms

  • Enter a nickname, join an open room, or create one.
  • Rooms are public or private. A private password is 4 digits.
  • Matches are one set, best of 3, or best of 5.
  • Each set is played to 15, 21, or 25.
  • Deuce means a tied set is won by 2 points.
  • Both teams need at least one player, and everyone has to be Ready before the host can start.

If the host leaves, the room hands the connection to a new host. A notice stays up during that move. If the connection fails, the empty slot continues as a bot.

Questions

Can I play alone?

Yes. Practice mode asks for a bot count and a difficulty, then starts.

How many players fit?

Up to 4 on a team, 8 in the match. 1v1 works too.

Do I need an account?

No. Online play only asks for a nickname.

Before an online room, take one practice match. Solo versus solo on Normal is enough to learn the jump.
